A visit from Gramps and Grandma Marilyn

Gramps and Grandma Marilyn came to visit this weekend.  We met up with them at Baker's Square for a late lunch on Saturday.  It was yummy.  Then I got to ride in Gramps's car to go to their hotel and check it out.  My brother when home with mommy and daddy.  After we checked into the hotel, Gramps, Grandma, and I went to run some errands.  We went to the grocery store to pick out food for supper.  When the grownups asked about what I wanted for supper, I told them steak and mac n cheese!  Grandma asked me if I wanted watermelon.  I said no, but then took her to show her the cantaloupe instead.  Then, I found popcicles and asked about those too!  I like making the menu!  When we got back to my house, I had a little quiet time (but never fell asleep).  Then we just hung out.

We did fireworks outside.  Gramps brought them from South Dakota.

 Then after fireworks, mommy and daddy went on a date.  I stayed home with Gramps and Grandma.  We made supper and then went to the hotel.  They had an outside pool at the hotel, so I went swimming with Grandma.  Nolan hung out with Gramps outside of the pool.  We were party animals and didn't go home to bed until after 10pm.  Mommy and daddy beat us home.

On Sunday, we all went to the beach.  We had a picnic and played in the sand.  Mommy and daddy also went geocaching again.  They said they didn't find any treasures this time.

Nolan went in the water with Grandma.  I only got my feet wet though.  I made sand castles instead.  I thought the water was too cold (but it really wasn't according to mom).
