The Circus is in TOWN!

Last weekend, we had a first...both dogs, both kids, and I headed back to Sioux Falls for a weekend with friends and family.  The drives both when relatively well, besides the fact that it was super hot and I had to figure out how to feed Nolan while the dogs could stay cool.  We just left in the morning, so it wasn't too hot when we stopped.  On the way to SF, we stopped in Windom at a park.  It worked, except I got eaten alive by bugs!  On the way back, we attempted to stop in St. Peter.  We didn't have as much luck...the park was too hot for Lauren to play in.  I ended up feeding Nolan in the car with it running so it was cool.  Good thing all of my "kids" are good travelers.  Here are some pics from the weekend.

The siblings spent time together.  On Thursday, some of us went to a Sioux Falls Pheasants game (and out to Buffalo Wild Wings).  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for babysitting!

By the end of the weekend, we all looked like this.  It was fun and we were tired!  The dogs LOVED the yard...with a fence.

We also had fun with Grandma Marilyn on Friday morning.  I forgot my camera, so we got NO pictures!  We saw her at her work and walked to the doughnut shop.  Lauren picked out a white frosting filled long john with sprinkles...a definate highlight of her trip!  We met Grandma Marilyn's co-workers and had a nice visit at First Lutheran.  Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa John also came over on Saturday morning to help us get ready for pictures by Kisha...Lauren's 3 year and Nolan's 3 month.  Grandpa John even got Nolan dressed....down to the diaper!  That's right, Grandpa John changed his first diaper...and it was a DIRTY one!  Congrats, Grandpa John, on this milestone!  Then, Grandma Marilyn came with us to help with pictures...much appreiciated!  Thanks!

Other hightlights were a bonfire, going to ChuckECheese, and the pool.  Look for more pictures to come in new posts soon!
