Last weekend, I went back to "Souf Dakota" for a special weekend. I got to be the flower girl in Noel's wedding.
Thursday, mommy, Nolan, and I helped decorate for the reception. Then, we went to take a nap, but I was too "cited" to fall asleep. Finally after trying since 2pm to take a nap, mommy and daddy let me rest in their bed at 3:30. Mommy had to wake me up at 4:45 to go to rehearsal and boy was I not ready to get up. Mommy put me in my dress and off we went. At the rehearsal, I was still tired. I did not want to walk down the isle by myself, especially after hearing the noisy trumpet. That thing scared me and I JUMPED into mommy's arms. We practiced walking down the isle 3 times and mommy carried me 2 of those 3 times. The other time, I just ran down after her screaming. We left the rehearsal with mommy praying that things would go better at the wedding!
Friday morning, my Grandma Marilyn took me over to Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Dave's house to get my hair done. I sat perfectly still and let her curl my hair and put it all up. Then, I went with my grandmas to find mommy at a hair salon. After that, we went to get my brother and take him to the church to get ready. We ate in the dressing room and then got dressed for pictures. We hung out and waited. Then, it was time to go. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen went in the church, then I decided it was my turn. I walked to the front of the church by myself and then waited for mommy. I didn't drop the flower petals, but found the fruit snacks in the bottom of my basket. Everyone in the audience thought I was eating flower petals, but ha-ha fooled them because it was just fruit snacks. During the service, I helped Aunt Mary straighten Noel's train and I played quietly in front of the church. After the service was over, all the bridesmaids and groomsmen asked if I wanted to go out. Even Pastor Ed (mommy's uncle) asked, I just shook my head no and waited for my turn. Then, of course, I headed over to the reception with Grandma Marilyn, Grandpa John, and my brother. I danced my little heart out and even attempted a line dance until almost 11 pm. Then, I went home to sleep after a great party. I loved the dance; it was my favorite part.
