1. Last night, Lauren helped herself to snack. We were playing upstairs and I told her it was snack time. She responded that she'd be right back. Then proceeded to go downstairs and help herself to "snack". She brought up a yogurt and a spoon. Then ate it at her little table.
2. This morning bright and early at 5:30, I heard the sweetest little voice. She said, "mommy, we forgot my medicine last night." And oops, we did! She's on meds for her ear infection and because she helped herself to snack, we forgot to go down and get the medicine part.
3. Tonight, Lauren helped daddy make pancakes. She insisted on pouring the batter onto the pan and flipping the pancakes. Daddy helped. She pretty much cleared the whole table and fed the dogs.
I think Lauren is in big sister mode. She's so excited to meet her little brother and can't wait to help bring us his pacifiers and diapers. She even colored him a picture at daycare today.
