40 Weeks! Can't believe baby could come any day!

We had an interesting week this week.  Lauren went to daycare on Monday, but then we found out daycare would be closed on Tuesday because our daycare lady's child was sick with an airborne contagious lung infection.  Oh goody!  I took Lauren to minute clinic to follow up with her coughing, but just as I suspected she only had a cough related to a cold.  So, Lauren and I got an unexpected mommy/daughter day on Tuesday.  We enjoyed the day hanging out, swimming, and making cookies.  Then about 7pm, she started acting weird (lethargic) and felt really warm.  I checked her temp and it was 103.1.  Gave her meds and she took a brief nap.  She ran a fever all evening, so no daycare on Wednesday!  Daddy stayed home with her in the morning and took her to her pediatrician.  She's now fighting her first ear infection and still has an "upper respiratory infection" (aka a cold).  She's taking medications, but no more swimming for awhile!  :(  Then thankfully, Grandma Marilyn drove all the way up from Sioux Falls to watch Lauren for the rest of the day.  Both mommy and daddy needed to be at work to get ready for some time off when baby comes.  Now I feel ready to be gone from work from 12 weeks.  No baby and no changes as of today though.  I even continue to complete my Thursday routine of going to water boot camp, cleaning, and laundry.  Never expected to be doing a high intensity, low impact water boot camp class at 40 weeks.  To top it off, I actually won the basketball contest (to see how many shots you can make).  I made over 50!  There's no slowing down for this mama!  I plan on enjoying my time with my family of 3 until the big day arrives.  I'm feeling great and sleeping mostly through the night.  Oh and wearing my wedding ring!  (This was not possible in my pregnancy with Lauren past probably 7 months!)  Tomorrow's my appointment, so we'll see what our plans will be going forward.

UPDATE 3/25/11:
Lauren and I went to my doctor's appointment this morning.  Baby looks good, sounds good, and is measuring right on.  His heart beat was in the strong 150s today.  I measured right at 40 weeks.  My midwife predicted his weight to be about 7 1/2 pounds.  Yah for minimal changes today!  Changes including dropping a little bit to between -2 and -1 station and beginning to soften/thin.  My guess however, is that there will be no baby this weekend.  I believe that he must be afraid of all the snow still in MN?!  Why would he want to come out and leave his warm home?  It's supposed to be another cold weekend here.  Maybe my 10 hour day at work on Monday will get things moving?  I'm planning to go and will keep smiling through it all; I still feel great.  My next appointment will be on Tuesday and then we'll decide an eviction plan should the littlest Heidemann require it.  Until then, Lauren and I will enjoy mommy/daughter time and daddy will keep plugging away at his project (due on Monday).
