Lauren's 4 1/2 and during Nolan's 18 month photo shoot, she definaly wanted in on the fun. Instead of running from the camera, she had her own ideas for shots and really wanted to not be left out! She's our sweetie and we can't believe that she'll be going to kindergarten in the fall! NOW TELL ME WHERE DID TIME GO!?
1. Swimming lessons: She passed her pink swim test at the YMCA, which means that she can go down the slide FINALLY. She had to tread water for 30 seconds, transition to a front float, and then back to treading for another 10 seconds!
2. Dance: She goes on Thursdays with some friends from the old 'hood and another friend from preschool. She does both ballet and tap and would LOVE to show anyone her costume for her recital in May.
3. Preschool: She goes 4 days a week. We had her conferences with her teacher, Miss Ginny, in November. The things we had planned to work on, she did on the car ride home!
4. Sunday school: She goes to the same place where she attends preschool and seems to enjoy it.
5. Birthday parties: Galore! It's hard to keep up with her social schedule....besides activities, she likes playdates with friends and birthday parties. She's already planning hers for when she turns 5!
6. Learning everywhere: This summer, I taught her the Lord's Prayer. This fall, she learned to tie her shoes (and now she ties ANYTHING!) Most recently, we're working on phone numbers. She's close!
7. She loves to have parent dates where either Brian or myself will take her some place...movies, ice cream, etc.
8. She loves her little brother too. They are really starting to play nicely together. She will read him books too and try to tuck him in at nap time. She really is a little mommy!
9. Play: With dolls, barbies, games like Candyland and Don't Break the Ice, coloring and crafts.
