And it's true too!
Last year, we stated an Easter tradition. We kept that tradition going again this year. Lauren and her best friend, Reegan, celebrate Easter together by dying Easter eggs and also going on an Easter egg hunt. I am in charge of the dying part. I thought I'd let you know how it went. Now don't get me wrong, it started as an UNEVENTFUL, funfilled evening dying Easter eggs at our kitchen table. You must understand that we have carpet under the table and that THEY did great and had fun! Check out the pictures and then read further!

| Look how CAREFUL our preschoolers were! Reegan did great too. |
 |
| Our whole process...2 dozen eggs total! |

| Here is Lauren with her two favorite eggs. |

| I personally like this one! Anyways, the girls did great... |
The "DYEING" part was great and lasted probably a whole 1/2 hour at most! Then we waited for the eggs to dry, so they could add stickers. In the meantime, we did an Easter egg hunt put on by Heidi (Reegan's mom). It was fun and there will be more pictures later. For now, I have to get back to my story. When the eggs were dry, the girls went back to finish them by putting some stickers on. Of course both girls wanted to try their Easter eggs for snack time. Reegan took her dozen home to try with her dad and Brian showed Lauren how to eat her eggs. To Brian's surprise, the first egg he cracked open was still runny. He cracked another one; yep...runny! We started shaking all the eggs only to realize that I mistakenly grabbed one dozen eggs that were still RAW! NOT ONLY THAT, but Reegan and Lauren had fun sharing eggs and MIXED and MATCHED....so it was a guessing game as to which eggs were raw and which ones were hard boiled. Brian and Lauren did find two hard boiled eggs after their initial two raw eggs. Lauren LOVED how they tasted too. After they devoured the eggs, Lauren and Brian joined Nolan and me for our bedtime ritual. The ritual takes probably about 1/2 hour (sometimes a little longer). After the kids were in bed, Brian and I had planned to watch a movie and chill out, but I was still curious about the mystery of our eggs...so I went downstairs to experiment with our mixed up eggs. Brian waited just a bit longer; well, until I yelled for him to come downstairs to what I found. I found only 4 eggs left out of our dozen! AND also a bunch of egg shells in the living room on the floor....the culprit would show herself with Easter poop in the morning! Sophie had eaten 4 eggs. I'm sure Charlie had a few bites too. I guess that solved our problem of figuring out which ones were cooked and which ones were raw. (I'm pretty sure they left all the raw eggs!) Needless to say, I couldn't let Lauren know about the dogs eating the eggs. The time is now 9:15, so I sprint to Target to grab some more eggs and dye. Yep, Brian and I were up hard boiling eggs, waiting for them to cool, and then dying them! We finished about midnight. Happy Easter to us! Good times; Great memories!

| Lauren's eggs. She liked dipping them in multiple different colors and did wait for bright colors. |
 |
| She liked her yummy eggs after we found a hard boiled one! |
 |
| My attempt at covering up the mess...notice how I ended up SPILLING the dye on the table and a little on the floor. Luckily, I was able to get the evidence off the floor! |
 |
| Brian and I dyed the second batch of eggs...not very bright this time. Maybe we were just too impatient at MIDNIGHT! :) |
