7 months and a few days...

Time just gets away from us.  Life is just so busy!  Here are some highlights of Nolan's 6th month of life:

1.  Eating:  anything and everything!  He continues to nurse 3-4 times a day or takes the bottle at daycare.  He hasn't really been into the bottle though.  We started the sippy cup with water.  He also started finger foods and LOVES them.  Nolan's menu includes:  baby food 2s, baby oatmeal, bananas, pears, gerber stars, rice rusks, ritz crackers, grilled cheese, cheese puffs.

2.  Playing:  now that he's mobile, he's into everything!  Nolan kinda does an "army crawl" and hasn't figured out how to get his tummy off the ground yet.  Well, do that at the same time as he moves his arms and his legs anyways!  He loves to play with the puppy toys and has even gotten in to the puppy food.  He also "drives" the tractors, bus, and truck just like a boy would!  He likes balls and musical toys.  Everything goes into his mouth.

3.  Sleeping:  OR NOT!  It's been a rough month...or more!  When you're sleep deprived, you lose track of lots of things.  I feel like I have short term memory issues!  During this month, Nolan was up anywhere between 3 and 5 time a night.  He's taking 2-3 "cat naps" per day.  Thankfully, he recently had an upswing in his sleeping habits.  We tried having him "cry it out".  (This is the 2nd time we've tried it too.)  The first night, he cried for 1/2 hour, but then only woke once during the night.  The second night, he cried for only 10-15 minutes.  The third night was more of a whimper.  Now I feel like we're on the right track!  He's still up once a night to eat...what can I say but hungry boy!  He's already starting to eat us out of house and home!  I don't mind the once a night snuggle fest...and I am starting to feel like a functioning human again!

4.  Growing:  He's wearing 12-18 month clothes now.  We've also moved up to size 4 diapers.

5.  AND he's still CUTE as can be!  His eyes are still blue and he's got wild, curly hair just like Grandpa Dave.  (And it's blond.)

We LOVE our baby boy.  We can't believe that he's already 7 months old.  He's growing up way too fast!
