Sioux Falls Weekend

Last Thursday, I loaded up the kiddos and myself and headed back to Sioux Falls.  We had planned to go for my niece, Meegan's 1st birthday party and decided to make it a long weekend.  We left Thursday afternoon right after a quick lunch.  What a great drive!  Both kids slept until about Windom.  We had a brief stop at the truck stop in Worthington and then headed on to Sioux Falls.  We made it in time for Grandma Bonnie to just get home from work.  Grandpa Dave and his friend, Kim Gross, from his college years, were shortly behind.  We went out for pizza per Lauren's request!  The kids did well...even Nolan had some baby food!

Then Grandma Bonnie took the kiddos home.  I had an opportunity to go out for drinks with my daddy!  It was so fun.  We went to the 18th Amendment in Sioux Falls and listened to his neighbor's band/group.  They are pretty funny for old guys!  :)  Thanks Grandma Bonnie for watching the kids!

 We got up on Friday morning and just hung out.  We kinda waited for Meegan to come over.  I got to share all the grandkids with Grandma Bonnie for the day.  Aunt Alyssa also headed over to hang out before she had to go to work.  The littlest ones napped in the am, well, after playing cards on the computer.  Then we headed out to the mall shopping and garage saling.  The kiddos did great.  Just wish we would've found some more deals, especially since Nolan is already out growing his 6-12 month stuff!

In the pm, we went back to grandma and grandpas and filled the pool.  It was a gorgeous day.  The girls went swimming.  And so did Nolan!

In the evening, my friend, Heather, from college, brought her 2 little boys over to hang out.  Carter is a little older than Lauren.  Gavin is 18 months.  They had fun playing with grandma and grandpa's toys and in the pool too.  It was nice to catch up.  Her husband, Travis, (also my friend from college days) came over when he got off of work!

 Seems like Nolan's favorite place to be this weekend was in Grandpa Dave's arms.  He fell asleep there many times!  And he also just liked to "hang out"!

The kiddos also had fun spending time with Aunt Jada and Uncle Neil before heading to the birthday party for Meegan!
