6 months!?

Yep it's true!  He's growing at a rapid pace and time is getting away from us!  Nolan is 1/2  year old now...scary thought!  He had his 6 month well check today and confirmed everything we know about our little man:  he's a big, happy, cute little man!  He LOVES to eat and his growth shows that:  he's 19 pounds, 10 ounces (86th percentile) and 28 1/4 inches long (96th percentile).  His head is finally starting to catch up to his body...last time he was in the 25th percentile, now his head is 17 1/4 inches and in the 53rd percentile!  Developmentally he's on track and even a head in some areas.  He got THREE shots today.  We have to go back for his flu shot after tomorrow (when he's 6 months according to the calendar!)  He had a delayed reaction to the shots.  Initially, he didn't even cry, then he got a sad face and screamed!  He wailed for only a short time and was fine as soon as I could pick him up.  Here's a short list of what Nolan's been up to this past month:
1.  Sitting unassisted
2.  Rolling all over the place
3.  Scooting on his tummy (he even scooted across the floor to reach the dogs' dishes one morning!)
4.  Pushing up on all fours and getting ready to "crawl".  YIKES!
5.  Eating solids...fruits, veggies, and meats.
6.  Still nursing.  He needs it quiet though because he becomes distracted.  Also since he's into more "stuff" he's quick...about 10-30 minutes tops!
7.  Not sleeping...not during the day or at night.  He takes about 3 naps at daycare, but short.  And at home, I'm lucky to get 2 naps, and again they're short!  He's been waking up as much as every 2-3 hours at night, but at least 1 time per night.  This mommy can't WAIT until this habit improves!
8.  Playing, playing, and more playing:  he LOVES toys!  Lots of mouthing all toys, likes to play with balls and musical toys.

Okay, so even though he's not sleeping, he's still a happy kid.  We enjoy lots of baby giggles...and he even has a "ticklish spot".  We're thankful every day for our little man and can't imagine life without him.  We're lucky to have such a happy, healthy baby!
