Lauren's first circus

Last Thursday, Lauren got to attend the El Reid Shrine Circus in Sioux Falls with Grandma Bonnie.  I have no pictures to share and only a second hand description of their experience since I was not there.  I do know that Lauren still talks about it today (Monday) and gets a smile from ear to ear almost every time we talk about it.  Oh, and she has picked out a circus story to read at bedtime.  It must have been an awesome experience for Lauren (and for Grandma Bonnie)!

Highlights of the circus according to Lauren and Grandma Bonnie:

*They had hot dogs and pop for lunch.

*Lauren talks about the motorcycles way up high (on the tight ropes) as her favorite.

*She also liked the cannon man at the end.

*They rode the elephant at intermission and even got to sit on his head.  Lauren will inform you that the elephant feels "bristly" and that it "SMELLS yuck".  :)

*Lauren told Grandma after the circus in the car that now its time for quiet time.  (She NEVER requests quiet time!)  However, by the time she got back to the garage sale, she was way to excited to share about the circus.  It was a no nap day.
