Lauren passed her swimming lessons today! In order to do it, she was required to attend the lesson without mommy; all by herself. AND SHE DID IT!! She listened to her teacher and followed the directions to wait and do her scoops and kicks and put her face in the water. She listened and waited while the other kids in the class had their turns to "swim" with the teacher. My baby is growing up. She is no longer in the parent/child classes for swimming, but rather moved up to the "on her own" lessons. Usually, someone who is under 3 does not pass this class. My baby is not even 2 1/2 yet (she will be in December)! I'm so excited for her and proud of her.....but I'm sure you can tell! So, we'll see how next week goes, with me watching by the side of the pool from now on!
