1. Talking ALL the time: labeling, requesting, playing, asking questions, answering questions. So Mommy & Daddy have to be on their best behavior and not say ANYTHING that we don't want Lauren to repeat!
2. Learned a new favorite game: Ring Around the Rosey! Will request "mo around peas" (aka "more around please").
3. Likes listening to her Veggie Tales CD in the car and will request her favorite song (If you're happy and you know it) over and over and over and over and over again. She's started to do the actions too.
4. Choosing to eat on her own time. Has decided not to really eat supper for the past two nights! But then in the morning today the first word out of her mouth was "eat".
5. Lots of climbing: especially in and out of the highchair on her own.
6. Lots of everything on her own and has started to throw the "toddler" tantrums if she doesn't get her way.
7. Helped us re-decorate our Christmas tree. Brian and I put up our Christmas tree during nap time (leaving ornaments off the bottom 1 foot. Well, let's just say Lauren could reach the ornaments still, so now we only have ornaments on the top 1/2 of our tree!
8. Down to one nap per day. It's usually a good one ranging from 2-3+ hours!
9. Favorite TV show is Dora. She doesn't really sit to watch it (which is fine with me), but dances to the theme song. She also likes to listen to Dora music on YouTube.
10. Has had two professional haircuts now. The second one was much better with less crying. We went to a kids salon. Lauren got to watch Elmo and hold 2 rubber duckies while they cut her hair. A nice lady even blew bubbles for her!
12. Becoming Miss Independent. Likes to help pick out her own clothes (given choices) and help brush her teeth and hair.
13. Likes the new kid at daycare. There's a new baby at daycare and Lauren really likes to help with him.
14. Can open doors at Grandma Bonnie & Grandpa Dave's and Grandma Marilyn & Grandpa Johns. They don't have regular knobs, but the long handle knobs that you can just pull down.
15. Learning, learning, learning: they work on her colors at daycare (we do some at home too), Lauren also likes to turn pages in books, and do puzzles with a small amount of help to get the pieces the right way and close to where they need to be.
16. Has started counting one, two, three with mommy when we feed the dogs. (Sophie gets three scoops.)
17. Favorite toy is probably dolls and accessories. She especially likes the stroller and has tried to take it to daycare for the past two days!
18. Has shown interest in the potty. Likes to help "wipe" herself and has even sat on the big girl potty, although she's never gone. Likes to help "flush" the toilet too. Then, knows to wash hands when she's all done.
