1. Crawling.
2. Pulling himself up on everything.
3. Eating regular people food...and more than his sister...this weekend he loved scalloped potatoes and ham, pancakes, pizza, mac n cheese, cheeseburger, fries, and more!
4. Not taking the bottle...he prefers to nurse and is starting to take the sippy cup.
5. Sipping out of a straw.
6. Driving his cars and trucks everywhere.
7. Playing with balls.
8. Getting into his sister's toys.
9. Sleeping better, but still not great...usually up 1x/night. Goes to bed at 9pm and then wakes between 12-1am, then again between 5-6am. (If it's not a daycare day, he'll snuggle up and go back to sleep). He's still a cat napper too.
10. He's had his 3rd haircut.
11. 2 teeth and I'm sure he's working on more considering the drool and the chewing on everything.
12. Favorite games to play are "peek-a-boo" and "get you".
13. LOVES his sister; she seems to always be able to make him smile!
14. Beginning to play the "shy" card and snuggle into me when I drop him off at places like Kid Stuff.
15. Giving the beloved slobbery, open mouth kisses!
UPDATE: Nolan had his 9-month well check on 1/5/12. Both kids came with me and were mostly good. Okay, it's challenging to balance 2 kids and all their stuff without the "bucket" as Grandma Bonnie would say (aka infant car seat). Even more challenging now that Nolan is mobile and wanted down on the dirty floor! YUCK! Anyways, all went well and he's still growing like a weed...length wise anyways. He's 29 3/4 inches long (90th percentile). Weight has slowed down...20 pounds, 8 1/2 ounces (49th percentile). His pediatrician was not concerned with his weight drop off because it normally happens around this time (or we'd all be raising HUGE kids) and he is mobile (burning more calories!) We've been fighting a diaper rash since before Halloween that included 2 trips to the pediatrician, many phone calls to the nurse, and numerous attempts at various remedies. We finally have a possible diagnosis of "eczema"...no surprise as Lauren had sensitive skin as a baby as well. He continues to meet and surpass all developmental milestones.
