It was a tradition starting year. Gramps and Grandma Marilyn game this weekend. We thought it would be fun to go to the Holidazle parade in Minneapolis. Of course, mommy and daddy thought that I would like a light parade, because I LOVE parades and I also was at a light parade in Sioux Falls during Thanksgiving. I remember the fires that kept us warm at that one! Anyways, as usual, we were running late. We grabbed a yummy bite to eat and then headed down to the Holidazle. We got a great parking spot for $7 (per car since we needed 2) and then headed out to the parade.
I had to go on daddy's head to see the parade. (That's what I call going on his shoulders.)
It was kinda chilly, so we bundled up. Even mommy wore a hat! (I don't like hats just like mommy because they mess up my hair!)
Grandma Marilyn kept Nolan's hands warm with his blanket.
Daddy and I are watching the parade.
After the parade, we went back to our cars. We had to wait at the elevator of our parking ramp just to go up. (We had to park on level 7 because it was SO full. Then, the longest part of our trip, was waiting in the line of cars to pay to get out of the parking ramp. I felt like we were there FOREVER! (It was like 30-40 minutes. Mommy and daddy said that my brother and I were super good though. Since we were good, Gramps took us out to McDonalds for hot chocolate to warm up. I even got my own and it was "DELISH!" (A new word my mommy taught me!)
Even though we had fun, we're not quite sure if we'll venture out to Holidazle next year. We might make the lights parade in Sioux Falls our tradition instead!
P.S. Gramps and Grandma Marilyn, thanks so much for coming! As always, we had a nice visit and enjoyed your company!
