A big surprise!

Last weekend after my gymnastics class, we all loaded into the car for a long car ride. I had a nap and we stopped for lunch along the way. We finally arrived in Sioux Falls for a quick surprise trip. This time, I came back to help Grandma Marilyn celebrate her birthday. Grandpa John planned a surprise birthday for her and pulled it off for the most part. And I pulled off a surprise of my own too...you see, Grandpa John also had a birthday only 5 days before Grandma Marilyn's. I got him a cake. Daddy and Aunt Alyssa put 60 candles in it.

Look at that fire! I hope he doesn't start the whole house on fire!

Grandma Bonnie also came to celebrate. She took me to the park to play on the swings and go down the slide.

Aunt Mary and Uncle Greg came to play too. Because Grandpa John had Grandma's birthday party at a park, I had lots of ground to play on and run around.

I got a ride on Grandpa Dave's shoulders! I like to grip his hair to use it as a steering wheel!

Daddy and Aunt Alyssa played "bags" and I had fun watching.

Grandma Bonnie and the rest of the crew fed me chocolate cake, my favorite! I think by having a bit of everyone's that I probably got more than just having my own!

Grandpa Dave used to live on a farm. He was telling me about the grass and weeds.

Here I am eating my applesauce with my spoon all by myself. I climbed into the chair and let them all know it was feeding time!

Here I am with the guest of honor! Boy did we surprise her! Too bad Grandpa John lied to her! Mommy says she can't believe this is the only picture she got of the two of us, but I don't sit still long enough. It's no big shocker to me! Happy Birthday Grandma Marilyn!
