Top Ten of 10 Months

WOW!!! Lauren is 10 months old today! We can't imagine what are life was like without her. We are enjoying watching her grow and change. Boy, she's had many accomplishments.

1. Lauren got her top two front teeth, which makes our tooth total 4. Be careful or she'll actually bite you if you stick your fingers in her mouth!

2. With those teeth, she's been eating many finger foods and wanting to "help" with the spoon. She likes bananas, cheese, toast, Gerber cheese puffs, Gerber stars, biter biscuits, and french fries. Lauren still hasn't made up her mind about noodles and peas.

3. She's into EVERYTHING! Opening cupboard doors--she has her special one that she's allowed to play in. Lauren LOVES to get into all of our electronics including the computer, the Wii and games, our phones, and the remotes!

4. She's a BIG helper, especially when it comes to the bathrooms. Attempting to open toilet lids. Playing with the toilet paper.

5. Playing ball with Sophie. Sophie will actually bring the ball to Lauren and drop it! What a suprise! Then, Lauren will "throw" it. The game continues.

6. She started taking steps towards walking independently! She took her first 4 steps to mommy from Grandma Marilyn on 3/22/09 and has been trying it ever since....walking towards toys, parents, the puppies.

7. Going from sitting/crawling to standing position all by herself.

8. Bending over to pick up toys from the floor and then returning to standing position.

9. Doesn't really like the jumperoo any more! Too much confinement, since she's started moving. We call it "baby jail!" The picture below is another form of "baby jail" which Lauren still approves of for brief periods anyways. It's even better when she's playing in it with friends!

10. And all of that development makes Lauren a tired little girl at the end of the day! She's sleeping through the night again! In fact, last night she slept from 8:15 pm to 8:00 am this morning! Mommy actually woke up before little Lauren. She's napping better too--twice a day for 1-2 hours each.
