16 months!

1. Putting 2 words together. First one "hi puppy!" Now has also done "all done" and "oh no".

2. Stopped counting expressive vocabulary. She's adding new words daily and using them appropriately to request, comment, and label.

3. Identifies eyes, nose, tummy, hair. Sometimes labels them too.

4. Starting to do actions to some songs. Like, clapping to "If Your Happy and You Know It"

5. Likes to dance to her Veggie Tales CD.

6. Favorite toy is stroller/dolls. Even tried to put a diaper on a Barbie once.

7. Has also taken interest in art. Has colored with crayons and finger painted.

8. Has gotten pretty good at open cup drinking all by herself with a cup less than 1/2 full.

9. Ate her first apple without it being cut up while at the apple orchard with Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa John.

10. Likes to point out airplanes in the sky.

11. Enjoys being outside and will request to go "outside" using her words.

12. Climbing on everything...has been found on the top of our kitchen table.

13. Likes doing chores or at least helping anyways. Lauren helps with feeding the dogs by carrying their full food dishes to where they eat. She helps clean up after dinner by putting the dishes in the dishwasher, throwing the garbage away, and putting the milk in the fridge (with our help).

14. Has started wanting to help change her diaper. Has tried to "wipe" Also likes to put diapers on dolls, stuffed animals, etc.

15. Has been helping get herself dressed and undressed. She likes to take her own socks and shoes off.

16. Continues to be a good sleeper. Goes to bed at 8:30ish and wakes up between 7-7:30 (or sometimes 6:45ish!). Going between 1 and 2 naps per day. Likes to sleep with her blanket and pillow made by Great-grandma Jean.
