Or so my mommy & daddy think! I had my 6 month well baby check today. Mommy had to wake me up early to go to this strange building. When we got there, a crazy lady made my mommy strip me down and lay on this cold metal thing....she said that I weighed 16 pounds, 10 ounces (now in the 70th percentile for weight). Does this mean I'm fat? Well, I do love to eat and am starting to have more preferences. Then, she made me lay on paper and told mommy & me that I was 26 inches long (also 70th percentile). After that, some guy came and talked with mommy & me. He gave me a wooden spoon handle (mom says it was a tongue depressor). I liked to put it in my mouth. It was a fun toy. He told mommy that I'm right on track and doing well. He also said that I should start drinking water and could eat quite a variety of food. I bet my daddy will be excited. He's always pushing me to try new stuff. At Thanksgiving, he let me suck on turkey and try pumpkin pie. The last part of my visit to the doctor was my least favorite. Today, I got FOUR shots...two in each thigh. I also drank a liquid vaccine (that wasn't too bad). After the shots in my legs, I cried, but mommy made it all better. So that's my 6 month well check. Now I don't go back until I'm 9 months!
Oh and as for what I'm doing these days:
1. Started drinking from the sippy cup.
2. Eating a variety of fruits and veggies. I like to help with the spoon.
3. Sitting all by myself.
4. Manuvering around the floor on my belly and turning around.
5. Standing while holding on to the edges of furniture.
6. Still sleeping through the night (9pm-7am usually).
7. No teeth yet, but I like to chew.
8. Playing peak-a-boo and patty cake and babbling with a variety of consonants & vowels too!
9. Reaching for mommy & daddy.
10. Playing with my puppies! I like to grab at them.
